I'm immersed in writing, loath this week to set aside the new novel to prepare a long post. So: I'll limit myself to sharing a few of the interesting items that have accumulated in my comment-on-sometime file.
New images of the geysers on Enceladus. Cassini, the probe that keeps on giving, now extended until 2017.
Need something to worry about? How about being spied on by your own smartphone?
Tiptoeing (hopefully) toward the Higgs boson, the Large Hadron Collider is going back into operations after a hiatus for routine maintenance.
And SFWA has posted the finalists for this year's Nebula Awards. I continue to be amazed at the (lack of) representation for the magazine with the biggest circulation in the genre. Not a single Analog story made it into this year's finalist list.
